Sex Therapy in Nashville
Safe, confidential support for intimacy, desire, and connection.
When intimacy feels hard to talk about
Sexual intimacy is one of the most meaningful parts of a relationship—and sometimes one of the hardest to discuss. Many couples and individuals struggle with desire differences, pain with sex, or feeling disconnected and wanting a closer emotional and physical bond.
Sex therapy offers a nonjudgmental, confidential space to explore concerns, reduce shame, and strengthen communication around sexual and emotional needs. We’ll honor your pace, values, and boundaries—always.
I am currently obtaining my Sex Therapy certification through the Sexual Health Alliance, an AASECT-credentialed program.
Who I help
Individuals and couples seeking support with:
Desire discrepancy (high/low desire, mismatched libido)
Pain with sex (vaginismus, dyspareunia) and fear-avoidance patterns
Intimacy & reconnection after babies, stress, or life transitions
Communication about preferences, boundaries, initiation, and repair
Neurodivergent-affirming intimacy support (ADHD/autism: sensory needs, pacing)
Values, beliefs, and culture—untangling messages that affect comfort and closeness
Gay-allied, lesbian-allied, queer-allied care (welcoming and affirming of LGBTQ+ clients and relationship structures)
Ethical non-monogamy & kink-affirming support (see below)
What we’ll focus on
Understanding patterns—without blame. We map the biological, psychological, relational, and cultural factors shaping your sexual wellbeing.
Reducing shame and pressure. Practical tools for nervous-system steadiness, expectation-setting, and self-compassion.
Communication that feels safe. Language for preferences, boundaries, initiation, and repair—even during difficult moments.
Rebuilding connection. Gradual, consent-based steps toward comfort, pleasure, and trust—at your pace.
Ethical Non-Monogamy & Kink-Affirming Care
I offer nonjudgmental, ENM/CNM-affirming and kink-aware therapy for individuals and couples who want clarity, consent, and connection in their intimate lives. We can work on:
Designing/refreshing agreements: expectations, boundaries, and check-ins
Jealousy, reassurance, and security without shaming needs
Time/energy logistics: scheduling, aftercare, and sustainable pacing
Disclosure & communication: sharing information with care and consent
Power dynamics & safety: negotiation, safewords, aftercare, and repair plans
Integration with values: aligning relationship structures with what matters to you
I do not facilitate sexual activity in session. Therapy focuses on conversation, education, and at-home practices. Safer-sex resources or medical referrals are available with your consent.
How sex therapy works (what to expect)
Session format: Individual or couple. We may start together, include brief individual check-ins, then regroup.
Assessment: We review history, strengths, stressors, health factors, and goals. Collaboration with medical providers is optional and only with your consent.
Approach: Evidence-informed and paced, drawing from attachment-based therapy, CBT/ACT skills, mindfulness & somatic tools, sensate-focus–style exercises, and Gottman-informed interventions for intimacy and repair.
Between-session practices: Gentle, structured exercises (communication, non-sexual and sexual touch stages, body awareness)—always consent-based.
Length: 50-minute sessions; extended sessions available when helpful.
